SIXPACK AND DOGWELDER: HARD-TRAVELIN' HEROZ #1 finds Sixpack struggling to make the world more aware of his now socially-conscious team, while Dogwelder finds his family moving on in his absence, and newlyweds Bueno Excellente and Guts hits some speedbumps on the road to marital bliss.
I was a little disappointed to see that John McCrea wasn't handling the art chores this time out, but he's ably replaced by Russ Braun, and the always reliable Garth Ennis delivers another solid script, mixing gross-outs and sight gags with the occasional dollop of pathos. I have no idea what this six-issue mini-series is actually about, but I can guarantee you that I'll be back for more, most likely when the collection hits sometime next year.
